The Current Only Search Marketing Print Magazine
By Benj Arriola - Posted on Mon Jan 22, 2007
Search Marketing Standard Magazine has finally reached it’s first year with 4 issues released already for this quarterly print magazine. And so far I can say I am pretty much impressed. With all the online resources you have, forums, blogs and podcast, sometimes, something on print may be move convenient to be up-to-date in the world of search marketing. Like having lunch with peers in a location with no Wi-Fi, and no need to bring a laptop where a magazine is way more lighter to bring along. Actually most of my Search Marketing Standard Magazines are read most of the time in the restroom. Now how productive can you get in the restroom? Not that much. But if you read Search Marketing Standard Magazine at the same time, at least you gain more knowledge on restroom time. One nice thing is this magazine is not that expensive. You can get 1 year, 2 year or 3 year subscriptions, and I just got the 3 years since it’s only $35 anyway.
Some of the best articles I like from the past issues were, the one about re-inclusion request on Google, Yahoo and MSN just in case a site gets banned. Managing SEO teams by Rand Fishkin, and the the article on the comparison of Wordtracker and Keyword Discovery. The publishers of this magazine Boris and Eugene Mordkovich are also the authors of the popular PPC Book, Pay-Per-Click Search Engine Marketing Handbook. Definitely if you are in the search marketing arena, this is definitely a magazine you will want to subscribe to.

[...] About a year and a half ago, sometime 2005, I was working at Einstein Industries, and I can’t remember who sent me an IM, but I believe it was Camron Deen. He sent me a message showing me a website of the Search Marketing Standard Magazine where it said you get a free magazine subscription for 1 year. This seemed to be only of it’s kind since there was no print magazine dedicated to search marketing. I signed up then and in 2006, I got all issues of this quarterly magazine for free and so far, I like it. It is not really like a super wow magazine, but it’s good enough for a cheap price. Now the 1 year has ended and I decided to renew the magazine for the next 3 years for only $35. I believe in 2006, there were many people that received their free copies since a lot of people signed up for it. So everyone that subscribed to this for free last year, and still like the magazine, don’t forget to renew the subscription. If you have not subscribed to this magazine, I suggest you do since it is cheap anyway. [...] When you got to take a crap, you just got to go. Go when you got to go. It is something that happens to everyone. Everyone has to take a crap once in a while where everyone has different frequencies in going. And sometimes it is just a time waster. So why not still be slightly more productive by learning more SEO? Like printing ebooks and leaving them in the bathroom. So at least time is not just wasted but you learn more. So this is what I read when in the restroom. And if you read the same magazine already, and got the free subscription for 1 year, don’t forget to renew. I agree, a good reading.
If you go to any of the SEO shows, such as:
Search Engine Stategies or Ad:Tech you can also pick up a complimentary copy as they distribute the current issue at all the SEO shows!

Nice to see someone from Trellian leaving a comment.
This was just posted minutes ago. I guess this is either on a Google Alert, or you were monitoring Technorati.
Anyway welcome to my blog Hilton. Btw, at the company where I work, we just recently subscribed to Keyword Discovery as we recommended the company to not only depend on Wordtracker.

The Search Marketing Standard Magazine? Just subscribe to it on the site. They have International Orders, I think it’s just a dollar extra per issue.
